Gloria – Founder & Director of Khione
Born in Sicily in 1986, Gloria is the heart and soul behind Khione. With a strong academic foundation in Economics, Management, and Tourism from the University of Catania, she cultivated a deep understanding of business and hospitality.
After gaining valuable work experience in Sicily, Gloria set her sights on the UK, driven by a passion to share the rich culture and authentic cuisine of her homeland. Through Khione, she brings a taste of Sicily to England, sharing traditional recipes and her extensive knowledge with those who cherish the island’s unique charm.
Gloria’s mission is simple yet profound: to connect people through the flavours and traditions of Sicily, inspiring others to fall in love with its heritage, just as she has.
Salvatore Arcerito
Salvatore – Co-Founder, Wine & Almond Producer, and Purchasing Manager
Salvatore is the co-founder of Khione and the driving force behind the meticulous selection of every product. Born and raised in Sicily, he holds a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Catania, where he honed his expertise in business and trade.
As a dedicated wine and almond producer, Salvatore combines his hands-on experience with a deep respect for Italian traditions. He personally ensures that every product reflects the authentic flavours of Italy, sourcing only the finest ingredients that stay true to their roots.
Through his unwavering commitment to quality, Salvatore plays a vital role in bringing the essence of Sicily to Khione, ensuring that every product tells a story of tradition, authenticity, and passion.

Salvatore – Team Member
Salvatore met Gloria in Cardiff, and during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic, he made the bold decision to leave his job and fully support the Khione project. Born in Calabria, Salvatore spent 20 years in London, where he successfully managed his own delicatessen.
With his extensive experience in the food industry and a deep passion for Italian cuisine, Salvatore brings invaluable expertise to the Khione team. Beyond his skills, Salvatore is the heart and soul of customer interaction, always ready to entertain and make every client smile. His warm personality and love for authentic Italian flavours make him an integral part of the mission to share the richness of Italian culture and food with the UK.
